I decided to thank the community as a whole for providing me with the tools and education re the virtues of Bitcoin and how to HODL
I'm a pensioner/retiree on a disability pension and earlier this year my savings were running out and I still had a mortgage that I would default on in a couple of months....
One day the wife came home and told me that the local News Agent had a sign on the window advertising "Bitcoins bought here in 60 seconds" I remembered reading about Bitcoins a few years ago and I wondered if Bitcoin had become mainstream? I went online and found that 1 BTC was now worth $980 and still gowning in price rapidly. My Wife and I decided what the hell Lets buy 1 Bitcoin and hope our investment grows if not we would have to sell the home
Within a month we had made enough profit to cover our mortgage and we continued to invest with my wife's income (she is still working part time) with what we could. We how have that very poster from the New s Agent on our wall at home....
Thought I could now trade on the exchanges and invested in half a dozen altcoins and boy was I wrong. I lost a lot and decided to go back to Bitcoin and HODL. That was 4 months ago. Thank the lord I did.....
My adventure with Bitcoin started 8 months ago and we still have a home and can pay the bills
