Lost all my Bitcoin due to my own gullibility /u/kingpinnn Last night I came across Elon Musks twitter and saw that he had done an interview with a YouTuber. I clicked on the tweet and in the comment section there was a link to a page that said Bitcoin giveaway. The link was tweeted by Elon Musk himself, or so I thought. I clicked on the link and it took me to a page where it had his name and two different links: one for Bitcoin giveaway and the other for a different coin. I clicked on the Bitcoin and the page said "To participate donate .05 to 2 BTC and get back .5 to 20 BTC." To me this sounded great. I only had .05 in my account, so I thought I would enter it and win big. I was convinced this was legit because it was showing all the transactions under it. People were putting in 0.02 and getting back 3BTC and so on. I entered with the expectation of getting more right away but nothing was happening. I wait around 5-10 minutes before getting really suspicious. I went back to the tweet and saw that the "Elon Musk" account was not real. It was verified but it wasn't the real Elon. I lost all of by BTC and now I'm kinda pissed about it.
