Coinbase and bitcoin cash

Coinbase and bitcoin cash /u/this_one_weird_trick Hi, I belatedly got into the Crypto market about a month ago. I've spent a solid month cramming Crypto, but at the beginning I went to a major bitcoin website that has been linked with some shady practices. I downloaded their wallet, and I very nearly ended up with some Bitcoin cash. Fast forward a month. I'm still total noob but I'm currently trying to see a reason that coinbase would sell and actively promote bitcoin cash. It's plainly steeped in shady practice, and if I wasnt quicker on the uptake I would be part of that scam myself right now.
