I've been working on an open-source protocol that I think could be valuable to the Bitcoin ecosystem. I like it because it is a totally optional opt-in type of solution to tying aliases (usernames) to addresses. This will allow wallet software to have UI/UX more similar to that of venmo or cash app. There are a couple attack vectors lined out in the document.
